Here Comes the Work Load

Well, it is now the third week of my second term in UCSI.
So far so good, have been meeting quite a lot of new people (keep 'em coming)
but am really really dumbfounded to meet AGGRESSIVELY ARROGANT people.
My gosh, speak their mind without filtering at the age of.. what? 19? 20?

Well, switching to the good side of me, XD
I am taking 5 subjects this semester, with the total of 15 credit hours per week.
I know, kinda free right.
but i'll see how this semester works before choosing 6 or 7 subjects next semester.
Am taking:

Intro to Mass Comm
- Geee. It's a subject I HAVE to take. but so far, i'm slowly taking a liking to my lecturer. He's funny at times but i need more stories to keep me entertained and awake (at 8am). He has vast knowledge about a lot of stuff and it encourages us. Looking forward to more assignments and group work to get the wheels rolling.

Intro to Journalism
- I am loving it so far. Our tutor is cute and funny (and it's really sad when people don't get her jokes sometimes) =.=  She gets us reading and search for more stuff, give us weekly homeworks and is quite thorough with everything, so it's ayyy okaaay. =)

Malaysian Studies
- Oh emm geeee. BORING. (The subject, not the lecturer). The lecturer is pretty cool actually, jokes quite often (it just depends on whether people caught her jokes or not). And the lecture is 3 hours long. So it takes a toll on us. am looking forward to group work that involves 8 people. haha!

Expository Writing
- This class is .............. filled with people i do not really like. Geeee. How do I put this... A lot of people show off (out loud, as in PURE LOUDNESS) to get the attention they don't really deserve. Some pretend to be dumb and it's plain annoying, it's not even funny. The lectures..... are okay. Can't complain when we're learning stuff right?? So far so good.

Basic Photography
- This class is AWESOME!!! I love it. Our lecturer, who i consider a genius is really cool. I finally learned about shutter speed and aperture after 5 years heavy use of digital camera. HAHA (sucks, i know). The lecture is about 3 hours long, but i never end up tooo sleepy cause I'm interested on what he's gotta say. He is good in teaching photography cause he himself is a dedicated photographer. For today's lecture, he brought in his camera collection. 10 in total! Awesomeness, we get to play with the old times of camera, the one that needs winding after clicking the shutter. =) Am soooo looking forward to weekly assignments =D

To be real honest,
I am really excited for this term.
Wanting the thrills, the assignments, the club meetings.
Hope that it doesn't come back and bite me in me arse when i said that XD
It's just something about all these that keeps me pumped. =)

Hope to come back to blogging soon,
I'm lazy. DEAL WITH IT.

- My 2010 Wrapup -

It just feels like a MUST you know… =)
It’s the sorta thing that you would tick off in the end of a yearOpen-mouthed smile

1. New Moments with my family.
Well, since i lost my uncle back in january last year, i have gotten so much closer to my grandmother (and i am very thankful for that, since she is the last grandparent that i have left, and i never knew the other three who passed when i was very young), i’ve gotten closer to my cousins as well, had sleepovers, yamcha moments, mah jong moments that i definitely enjoy. i do really love a good family time. and i do miss my uncle whom i call Ah Gu every time i enter through the office doors. makes me appreciate everything i have even more.

[I didn’t get to meet with Wayne in 2010. First time ever of not meeting him in one whole year since he was born =’( ]

2. New moments with my (old) friends.
I had a ton of outings with my ex-schoolmates. A TON ! It was great, we baked cakes, pizza, went out for drink, gyozas, mango sago, all kinds of stuff. The pictures were great as well. People ask me why I waste so much time taking pictures and stuff. Well, I have really bad memory, and not only it’s a hobby, I smile and laugh every time I flip through all those pictures, they mean a lot to me. In 5 years time, maybe you will feel the same.

3. New Moments abroad
Yes, I traveled a lot in 2010. Europe has the most beautiful countries and I’m in love with all of them. France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and also England. I’m very fortunate to have been. =)

My favourite places are Switzerland and France.

Also, in December, my family and I went to Taiwan. =) I’m a real banana, so I wasn’t really looking forward to it, but it turned out to be a real nice trip =D All the way from the north travelled down to the south of Taiwan. hehe.

4. New Moments in KL

I hang out too much in KL. hehehe. but it’s a must, since my boyf and I are making up for the year plus that we’ve wasted hiding. XD He brings me to a whole lotsa places cause he knows it well and i dont. hehe. yes, i’m so loved. heee, and he's the best. :)

5. New Moments in University
UCSI. It wasn’t my very first choice. And yes, one might say I wasted a lot of money for not going to a public university but my parents had hoped that I would get a public uni in KL, and because I didn’t, they got me in a private university instead that is in KL. (long story short)
I’m here already. Deal with it.
I did great for my first semester (not full marks lah) but I'm really impressed. hahahhaha XD
I met a bunch of new friends that are really psychopathic in a way.
We chat and talk too much, and have real fun. =)

6. New brand names in Tawau
Okay. Technically those do not belong to me, but it’s something that we’re proud of, no?
Secret Recipe & Old Town White Coffee

7. New Birthday Celebration Moments
Had yet, once again a lot of birthday celebrations. Including my own 20th birthday! =) The biggest meal I’ve ever had in my life, surprise cake from friends I only met for a couple of weeks, cutest birthday present from my sweetest roommate (my first ever roommate Winking smile ). And phonecalls from loved ones, hehe. Smile

My birthday comes first in 2010
(ignore others for once) hahahha

Birthdays of my friends~

8. Was on an Education Magazine for doctorjob (hahaa. i needed 10 things in this list!)

9. Had alllllll sorts of food this year. Many firsts

Too many pictures to post up. (Believe me!)

10. My thoughts about 2010

It was a simple year. The first year that I got a real long break from studying (for about 9 months!) I could have had a baby already! XD hahhaa (okaaay, not the best thing to joke about =p)

I learned a number of things during my free time in twu. drawing, recipes, sushi, cakes etc. then in uni life, i learned to be independent, to deal with a new environment, new people, new society. to cope with the competition in KL. studied and fought real hard in my first term, (as in real stressed out mode: crying in the middle of the night kind) doing part time work while waiting for holidays, earning my first piece of real money =)  going places and admiring the simplest things.

Well, it was a year that I spent with family, friends and myself. had no goals for 2010 (i don't set resolutions). i just plan on enjoying the time i have and fight real hard and i did. =)

Year 2010. CHECKED!
