Yesterday, as most of you already know.

We had everything planned out,
But he managed to outwit us.

He was in town when we gave him a call.
And he won't tell us where.

SO...
We went looking for him.

When we were just about turn into the town area,
We started discussing about the car he drives,
Type, Colour etc.

Our first turn into the road,

Cause we lost him in a bit. =p

So we spun around town again,

We drove around Fajar for quite sometime.

For almost an hour we looked.

Then we finally thought it out.
SCHOOL?!?
Serious?

So, yeah, we went back to school.
Yes, on a holiday.

- Influenza A (H1N1) -

It's causing such a riot in our small town of Tawau.
YES, IT IS HERE.

The sudden outbreak this week,
Has caused many of the secondary schools of Tawau to shut down.
Including Sabah Chinese High School, SMK Kuhara, and SM St Patrick.

SMK Tawau has YET to have any reports of any swine flu cases.
Maybe we're very healthy....... ???
Or maybe we just don't go to camps where the infected people go...

Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai,
Has commented that,
The public is letting their guards down against this disease.

He said the public had the impression,
That the influenza was not deadly and
That they could easily recover from it if infected.

Although the mortality rate is relatively low,
We CANNOT take this for granted.

And I HATE it when people say,
"YES! H1N1!!! We can have holiday!"

In 1918, the [Spanish Flu],
Which was also caused by the H1N1 type virus,
Killed 50 million to 100 million people worldwide.

So stop joking around saying that you're dying.

It's just plain annoying.

WHAT TO DO... ?

• Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze.
  
• Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  
• Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
• If you are sick with a flu-like illness, stay home for 7 days after your symptoms begin or until you have been symptom-free for 24 hours, whichever is longer, except to seek medical care or for other necessities. Keep away from other household members as much as possible. This is to keep you from infecting others and spreading the virus further.
• If you are sick and sharing a common space, wear a facemask.
• Follow public health advice regarding school closures, avoiding crowds, and other social distancing measures.
• If you don’t have one yet, consider developing a family emergency plan as a precaution. This should include storing a supply of extra food, medicines, and other essential supplies.
