- Farewells Don't Go Like That -

Am really pissed outta my mind.

We had, what was supposed to be a farewell party,
Last Friday,
(was it? It was so forgettable, I can't even remember the day)
Well, anyways.
Our Interact juniors threw us a 'party'.

Wait til you hear the details...
Put yourself in our shoes, would you?

It's YOUR farewell BBQ party,
You're arrive at the venue.
Stood there for minutes,
And one of your juniors comes running to you...........
The first thing they say???
"RM 10!!! Pay up!"
Yupp. No "Welcome, come on in, have a seat"
Nope. Na-dah. Nothing.


It's YOUR farewell BBQ party,
They asked you to come on 7.30pm.
You would expect to have dinner then right?
You arrive right on time. You have a look around.
You see they have JUST started the fire.
Yes. BBQ. Expect to starve.


It's YOUR farewell BBQ party,
You come. And wait for them to serve you right?
Or at least come and have a chat with you.
It's called hospitality.
You're the guest of honors, keep reminding yourselves that.


It's YOUR farewell BBQ party,
It's far past your dinner time,
You're hungry. The food aren't cooked yet.
They've started eating without you.
You take as little as you can so that you wouldn't look greedy.
You finished your plate, stood up, and decides to go for the second round.
There aren't any left. Seriously.


It's YOUR farewell BBQ party,
You're getting angry with every minute that passes.
You rant, you erupt, you go mad.
You purposely talk as loudly as you can,
So that everyone hears and knows that you're mad.
No one cares. They giggle, Taking self portraits of themselves.

You know,
The whole ''I'm pissed" part of the whole thing,
Isn't about the RM 10,
Isn't about the way that they've ignored us completely,
Isn't about the fact that we had to cook our own food in our own party,
Isn't about the fact that we have no appreciation gifts at all.

It's about the fact they they've used the INTERACT name
To throw some kinda BBQ party as a friends hangout party.
It's about having an account full with money,
And not putting it into good use.
It's about having to pay RM10 for our own farewell,
and some freaking OUTSIDERS paid RM5.


Must I add, when my batch first started last year.
We had a NEGATIVE account.
Yes. No lie.
We were able to throw a fairly organized party for OUR seniors.
Buffet dinner, gifts, games,
We even put on fake smiles the whole night. Biasalah~
Plus, the EXTRA food left from the buffet?
Someone brought some home to feed their DOG.
I'm dead serious.

You guys know you've done an awful job for the farewell,
But that's just your first activity,
I wouldn't boast about that if I were you.

Do not try to seem so innocent.
Especially with all your lousy excuses.
Us : Why are there outsiders in an INTERACT party?
Them : We don't know how to barbecue, they came to help us.
If you do not know how to BBQ, why would you wanna make a BBQ party?
Lame.

Them : We planned so many games for you guys to play,
but you guys left early. Sighhhh...
When we threatened to leave, did anyone try to stop us? N-O.

If our juniors have had any chance in reading my blog,
This is just my opinion.
Am not gonna pin point who did what.

Our juniors are pissed with how WE reacted.
But why? Aren't we the ones who should be disappointed?

BTW.
It wasn't until that night that,
In 19 years of my whole life,
Have I had a hotdog that costs me RM5 each.


P/S : FYI, I'm not mata duitan,
I have all the money I can spend on PROPER BBQs and parties.

Never mind if you don't get how we feel.
Cause you wouldn't know how much
TIME, MONEY, and ENERGY we've spent,
Trying to ensure all the activities run smoothly.
Wait til it's your time to retire.
Then you can get back to me.

Also,
Interact Club isn't about fun and games.
It's the interaction between people.
Honestly, ask yourselves.
Can you even see any cooperation between your own BOD members?
