- Holiday -

It's the holidays now.
Hooray!~
But yes, I've been doing nothing.
Except, well, rot.

So!
Just wanna post up about the outings my class had this past week.

On Tuesday, we went for a movie.
We decided to go watch Eagle Eye.

If You Want To Live, You Will Obey.

Yeah, it would have been an awesome movie.
... If we actually finished watching it.

JUST 15 minutes into the movie,
The most exciting part,

"F.B.I! F.B.I! Open up!!!"
*poof*

Black Out,
Only in Tawau.

I have to say though, it was such good timing.
We all just thought, "Oh, Shia got caught, and he's in jail..."
But then, nothing ever came back on.......................

We had this view. For minutes.
See the emergency exit sign?

Cool thing was, the whole freaking room was ours.
No one else were in it except us!
So we were shouting like mad, and taking pictures in the dark.
[=.='']

In the end, the electricity never came back on.
So we kinda got a 'refund'.

We headed to Oasis Cafe then.
Had couple of snacks and chit chat.

It was to share.

Jas and her glasses.

And then Boon.

Then it was my turn!

While on the other side, everyone was all ears on Jenny.

Teo and Jin Yee.

Roza and Chau.

Tan Lek.

Jenny. Feasting.

Vyn. Feasting also.

Twins. Stare at the difference.

Most of us. XD

So, after the whole feasting thingy.
We headed off to the seaside!

Such a nice yet, kinda scary feeling there. XD
We took loads of picts there.
They're not with me though. *sob*

We did a lot of crazy stuff.
And that's why I love my class...

6 Rendah Aktif bah~~~

Reach Out!
Youth Against HIV/AIDS.

Boys Brigade (BB) ReachOut 2008 - Youth Against HIV/AIDS.
Is a joint initiative between The Boys' Brigade in Malaysia (BBM) and The Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC) and in association with The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) - to create awareness and educate 100, 000 youth about HIV/AIDS from May-Dec 2008.

Hoping to achieve one of the strategies under the MAC Strategic Plan 2008-2010 that is to:

"REDUCE HIV VULNERABILITY & INFECTION AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE (Ages 15-24) AND CREATING A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR HIV PREVENTION FOR YOUTH"

________________________________________________________

What is HIV?
Human Immunodeficiency Virus, is the cause of AIDS. HIV attacks the body's immune system, making it weak and less able to fight off diseases. When a person is confirmed to have been infected, he or she is said to be HIV-positive.

What is AIDS?
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is a group of illnesses which occur in HIV+ people as a result of a weakened immune system.

________________________________________________________

How is HIV transmitted?
It is only infectious in body fluids such as blood, semen, pre-ejaculation fluid and vaginal fluid including menstrual blood. Can be transmitted by :

  1. Through sexual intercourse (vagina, anal or oral sex) with a HIV infected person. Oral sex is not safe from HIV/AIDS transmission because if the mouth has bleeding gums or sores, there is risk in getting infected.

  2. Through sharing a syringe with a HIV infected person.

  3. Through transfusion of HIV infected blood and blood products.

  4. Through transmission from a HIV infected mother to her child during pregnancy, child birth or breast feeding.

______________________________________________________

How can you protect yourself?

  • By limiting your sexual activities to only one uninfected partner. (ie. your spouse)

  • By using a condom correctly during sexual intercourse when you are unsure of your partner's health status.

  • By not sharing needles and syringes. SAY 'NO' to drugs.
_______________________________________________________

Is there a cure for HIV/AIDS?

No. There is none. But there are anti-HIV drugs that slows the progression of the virus thus prolonging and improving the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS.

________________________________________________________

THE TRUTH ABOUT HIV/AIDS

  • You CANNOT get HIV/AIDS from hugging, shaking hands, or touching a HIV infected person.

  • HIV/AIDS is NOT transmitted through using common toilets or bathrooms or even the swimming pool.
  • You CANNOT get HIV/AIDS from sharing food or drinks.
  • Mosquito or other insect bites DO NOT transmit HIV/AIDS.
  • You CANNOT get HIV/AIDS from donating blood because all instruments are sterile and used only once.
  • HIV/AIDS CANNOT be transmitted through sneezes, coughs, sweat or urine.
_____________________________________________________

PREVENTION IS THE KEY

We can slow down the worldwide HIV/AIDS epidemic if everyone had the right information to Prevent Infection.

YOU! and ONLY YOU! can protect yourself from getting infected with HIV/AIDS.

You can avoid infection by practicing safer sex or not sharing needles or syringes.

You need to spread this important messages to your friends and to your loved ones.

PREVENT because
there is NO CURE

Spread the news.

- It's Been A While... -

... Since I've last posted something.
There's just too much going on.

My finals has finally ended. Just this morning!
Such a suffering 2-week exam period.

My 26-month year old nephew, Wayne came back the other day.
Just 2 weeks before my finals.

So yeah, it was a fun-filled yet tiring time.
But who could resist this :

Hmm..

He peels his own orange. And he gives you half of it.

He can have his own meal. And well... make a mess.

And he's sorta hot for a 2- year old.

And... he makes you go "Ah~~!!!"

- Experimental Fun -

It's the PMR holiday. We have one whole week as our study week.

And we had to go back to school for experiments for 3 days.
Chemistry and Biology.

DAY 1 - Monday.

Was just crazy. After finishing off Chemistry.

The Bio students had to go for another experiment.

We had our breakfast. And then headed off to the lab.

We were doing the saliva experiment. So...

[ The following content is not for the faint hearted ]

We had to collect our spit.
To make a total of 20 ml of saliva for the whole class.
Yes, it was yucky.
Was kinda a [=.=] situation when I was the one who 'contributed' the most.

Boon was having trouble the whole time.
But in the end, she made the most memorable donation with the help of Jin Yee.

We had to drip the mixed solution on a white tile, and then drop iodine on it. Every minute.

The experiment will stop only when the the drip does not change blue-black.

BUT...
It never stopped changing.
It was the longest 3 hours of our lives.

DAY 2 - Tuesday.

Chemistry.
Was fun cause it is done in groups of 2.
Me and my partner, did a lot of stuff. Wrong.
Fun, but wrong.

After Chemistry. We headed off to the Biology lab again.
We didn't have enough insects to go around.
So we needed to catch more.
From our school field.

So, have you seen Spongebob Squarepants?
You know, the squarish adorable..
well, sponge that lives in a pineapple under the sea?
You've seen that when he's out to catch jellyfishes, he uses those butterfly nets?

Well, imagine just about 5 girls, running around the football field, chasing dragonflies..

(Which are so impossible to catch by the way... !!!)

Was really funny. Just like in the cartoon. Please observe.

I just loved how the video shows how much fun we were having.
And when Roza ran past the camera. It couldn't be more perfect.

We ended up catching lots of grasshoppers, and even moths.
But nope, no dragonfly. [=.=]

It's tiring stuff!

Class pict. By Jas.

Boon. Tired from catching bugs.

Just a few of the few.

Jenny's fav.

Splitting cockroach. Only from Jas.

Jin Yee's.

Mine.

Catch of the day.

DAY 3 - Wednesday.

After Chemistry. Which was okay.

Bio students headed off for another bio experiment.

This time, preserving moss.

We headed off to collect some moss. Also from the school field.

Because we had sooo much fun the day before, we brought along the nets.

[Just in case]

Jin Yee and Jas.

Jas and Viv. What's a Physics student doing here?

Fern.

Cool Shot.

Timbalan Ketua Pelajar. And Jas. XD

After a hard day's work.
I love this tree.

Science. Is cruel. But interesting.

- Raya Raid -

My Biology teacher invited the BIO students over to her house for Raya yesterday.
Since, last week didn't work out. We tried to go this time.

In total, 4 of us went. Out of 10.
Yes, 10 Bio students.

We got to chatting and had snacks then watched some DVDs.
And yeah, we played with cats. Adorable ones.

Feasting.

Boon, Blackie and Jin Yee.
Boon and Me.

With our Bio Teacher.

It goes Meow.

- Form 6 -

When people know that you've entered Form 6.
The first thing they'd probably ask would be : Is it as hard as they say it is?
Where and When did this start going around anyways?

Who ever said Form 6 is hard.
That's just crazy~~

____________________________________________________

Student One : Why do you have to expand this one and not that one? And even so, that doesn't even equal to the answer at the back!
Student Two : I know, like what the heck right?
Student One : What are you talking about, you've got the answer... ?
Student Two : I did? Oh, cool!
Student One : ... ... ...

____________________________________________________

Student One : Let's start the experiments at 7 am, the earlier we finish, the faster we can go home.
Student Two : No ways, it's the holidays, I wanna sleep late.
Student One : I don't have transport, don't be such an ass.
Student Two : I'm not. I just want my sleep.

____________________________________________________

Teacher : Guys, please answer my question...
Students : ... ... ...
Teacher : That's it. I don't love you guys no more.

____________________________________________________

Teacher : Okay. Which should we differentiate? x or y?
Students : ... Er... x !
Teacher : Okay good. Why can't we differentiate y?
Students : (total silence)
Teacher : Actually, you can differentiate y also. Do you know how?
Students : (dead silence)
Teacher : Okay, we'll come back to that one.

She's so patient. She's awesome.

___________________________________________________

Student One : Let's have a little quiz. What's the ion for Sodium?
Student Two : 2+ .
Student One : Wow. You're good. Darn. Oxygen?
Student Two : 2- lah.
Student One : Uinah~ Go sit for STPM lah. Fluorine?
Student Two : (thinks for a while) ... Negative?? (with a hopeful face)
Student One : Chlorine?
Student Two : MINUS.
Student One : Oh... Kay~ ... You're so sure on Chlorine, but not on Flourine?

Student Two : Okay, my turn. What is the molecular geometry if it has ONE lone pair and TWO bond pairs?
Student One : Shut up. I hate you.

I wasn't paying attention in Biology this morning.
Cause I was thinking hard for a phrase to remember the products and substrates in the Krebs Cycle for respiration.

I think it goes like this:

Citrate > Oxalosuccinate > alpha-Ketoglutarate > Succinyl coA > Succinate > Fumarate > Malate > Oxaloacetate

So, it's C.O.K.S.S.F.M.O.

So, I came up with :
Cycle Of Krebs Suka Suka Freaking Main Orang

Guessed it worked pretty good ey?

- Raya Holidays -

It's 2 more days still school reopens.
And I have problems waking up early.

I've been rotting so much that I've planned some outings and hanging overs during the past week. With my middle school friends from St Patrick.
Was pretty awesome.

First. I had friends over to chit chat, you know. Girly time.
We ended up talking about a lot of stuff. Was a really nice catching up time.

Nope. Can't run. Can't hide.

Look at that evil grin of hers. She won, again.

Tzer Hui. Marcella. Emily.

Then, I went out to have dinner with a few of my friends over at Pizza Hut.
Had a simple dinner. A little chit chat.

Avoiding eye contact with the camera.

Then we decided not to go for a movie.

Instead. We did this.

I'm 18.

He's 18 too. And he's holding it wrong. XD

Adorable, ain't she.

The innocent ones.

Marcella and me.

Pang and me. Missing her already.

Happy Raya People!!!
